АПЛИКАЦИОНЕН ФОРМУЛАР

Managing stress and burnout in rural youth work – Facilitators in Education and Empowerment of Learners is a pilot project aiming at increasing the capacity of youth-related organizations in Europe to work with and to the best interest of young people in rural areas. In order to attain this aim, the project brings forward three training courses.

Coping with Burnout in Youthwork is the third and final training course of the series. During this training you’ll be spending your time with an international group of 26 youth workers coming form Italy, Poland, Macedonia, Ireland, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Bulgaria and of course Romania.

Objectives:

• Provide professional self-management competencies.

• Identify symptoms of overworking, under-appreciating or simply too much enthusiasm.

• Recognize burnout and how to help other youth workers recognize burnout

• Develop skills on how to avoid or cope with burnout through a series of instruments provided by the trainers.

• Create a networking framework that would enhance the professional development of the participating youth workers.

Working methods

Generally, the methods that will be used are rather non-formal, non-frontal and participative. The program is built by using a combination of different methods such as: ice-breakers, energizers, experimental learning, group-work, team-building exercises, role-plays, brainstorming, case studies, presentations, games, introspection, debate. The methods will enable interactivity between the trainers and the participants and between participants themselves, so that a proper environment for dialogue is created.

Contribution of 50 EUR per participant is asked for the training course. The contribution will be paid in cash, on arrival to the venue.

Venue

The accommodation and the activities will take place in Cerasu village, quite close to Izvoarele, our Headquarters, and to Valenii de Munte, the closest town.

The accommodation will be at Cerașu Pension, which is a cozy place with central heating and quite warm so take with you clothes in layers. The training will take place in the same building. We have rooms with 2 to 4 beds with a bathroom included (for almost all of them), so you will most likely have at least one international roommate.

The closest city is Brasov or Ploiesti, Bucharest being only 120 kms (2 hours) away.
